A signed promise from the ER physician who built tebIQ, an AI medical scribe: your name, address, phone, email and specialty are never sold.
The tebIQ Data Pledge
Not a policy. A promise about your own personal information, in the first person, with my name at the bottom.
I am an emergency physician. I still work shifts. When I am in a room at 2 a.m. with a patient who is frightened and has told me something they have not told anyone else, I am the one holding the phone.
That is the entire reason this page exists.
I have watched what the rest of health technology does with what patients say. Prescription data resold. “Insights” packaged for drug marketing. Companies fined for handing health information to ad platforms. Every one of those companies had a privacy policy. Most of them were technically in compliance with it.
So I am not going to write you a policy. I am going to tell you what I will and will not do, in the first person, with my name at the bottom.
This is the promise, and it has no exceptions.
I am never going to sell you.
Not your name. Not your practice address. Not your phone number. Not your email. Not your specialty, not your prescribing patterns, not your billing identity, not the simple fact that you are a doctor who uses an AI scribe. None of it goes to an advertiser. None of it goes to a data broker. None of it goes to a pharmaceutical company or anyone selling to one.
You have been on those lists your whole career. Somebody has been buying and selling your name since your first year of residency. You will not be on one because of me.
There are no ads in tebIQ, and there will not be. Not banners. Not “suggestions.” Not a drug name that appears in your differential because someone paid for it to be there. That is the one thing in medicine I am least willing to negotiate.
The honest part. tebIQ is not a sealed box, and I am not going to pretend it is. To transcribe your dictation and draft your note, the service uses outside vendors: speech-to-text, an AI model provider, and cloud hosting. They work for tebIQ under contract, and they handle your data only to run the service. That is the complete list of who touches it. If you want none of that, the free tier transcribes on your device and the audio never leaves your phone.
How to hold me to it. This page is dated. If it ever changes, the old version stays up and the change is announced, not quietly deployed. I read my own support mail. If you think something here is not being honored, write to me and say so.
The word teb means medicine. I named the company after it as a nod to Ibn Sina, who wrote that the physician's first duty runs to the patient in front of him. I am aware of how that reads on a marketing page. It is still why I built it.
Encrypted in transit and at rest (AES). Never used for training. Never sold.
